1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of psychological services by Dr Gkofa (legal name: Vasiliki Gkofa), an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist based in London. They apply to individuals who book an appointment or make an enquiry through this website.

Full terms governing therapeutic work are detailed in the Therapy Contract, which is provided before therapy begins. Therapy commences only once the Therapy Contract is agreed and signed.

2. Services Provided

Dr Gkofa offers:

  • Psychological therapy (in person and online)

Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes.

3. Fees and Payment

  • Payment is due on the day of the session or as invoiced
  • If fees change, you will be informed in advance

Full payment details and invoicing arrangements are outlined in the Therapy Contract, which is provided before therapy begins.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

  • 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling
  • If less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, or if you do not attend a scheduled session, the full session fee will be charged
  • This applies to both in-person and online sessions

5. Confidentiality

Information shared during therapy is treated as confidential. Limits to confidentiality include situations where:

  • There is a risk of harm to you or someone else
  • Disclosure is required by law or professional regulation
  • Information is shared with your consent (e.g., with your GP or another professional)

Where possible, concerns will be discussed with you before information is shared. Full confidentiality details are provided in the Therapy Contract.

6. Online Sessions

  • Online sessions are conducted via Google Meet
  • You are responsible for attending sessions from a private and quiet space with a stable internet connection
  • Sessions must not be recorded by either party without explicit written consent

7. Crisis Support

Dr Gkofa does not provide crisis or emergency services.
If you are in immediate distress, please contact:

8. Ending Therapy

You are free to end therapy at any time. Where possible, a planned and collaborative ending is encouraged.

9. Professional Regulation

Dr Gkofa is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and adheres to its professional and ethical standards.
